Diogo Costa took Portugal to the next round of the European Championships as he became the first ever Goalkeeper to save all 3 penalties in a penalty shootout in Euros History.

The game remained deadlocked from the start as both teams could not seem to crack their chance on the oppositions goal. Slovenia deemed to be playing extremely defensively and succeeded to keep the ball away from the net.
It was not until extra time where the game could have turned around where Cristiano Ronaldo was called up for a penalty. Ronaldo stood up against Oblak who had been a part time rival back in Ronaldo’s Madrid days. Ronaldo attempted to smack the penalty into the bottom right where he was denied by Slovenias Oblak

The game was forced on into penalties where Portugals goalkeeper became the first goalkeeper in Euro history to deny every single penalty. With Bruno Fernandes Ronaldo and Bernardo Silva all converting there penalties leaving Slovenia heartbroken.
